"Even though the Carnival roots are from the Caribbean, it is the one event that has opened itself up to other cultures. You can go to a Chinese festival, but you won't find jerk chicken and peas being sold there. At Carnival, you can find Chinese food, Polish food. It's a very open culture; it's a very inviting culture."
Episode 007 is a much-anticipated conversation with the founders of the much-loved and renowned Rampage Sound System. Rampage hosts the largest static sound system at Notting Hill Carnival and 25 years later still holds the title for being the most talked about system with an impressive crowd of approximately 330,000 over the 2 days. It is also the only sound to host an entire street. Heading to Rampage is well-known to be guaranteed absolute carnage.
Get in the spirit of Carnival by listening in on Yasmin and the team of Rampage reminisce over fond and hilarious memories, that we are all bound to have if you're a Londoner.

"It is carnage. This one time, we could see this tree in particular going left to right, left to right and the angle is getting so low that the branches are scraping people's heads in the crowd. There are people trying to rip the tree out of the crowd and all I could think was 'please, I just know the council is gunna charge me!"
