Avi Loud's Guide to Seattle

Avi Loud is mostly known for his photography, but since stepping into the music and design scene, people are coming to know him as more of a multi-faceted artist. Avi Loud views travel as "opening my mind to other perspectives, being out of my comfort zone, connecting with cultures, great food and growth". Passionate about music, history, peoples' stories, self-actualisation and artistic expression/creation as a unifier, Avi Loud is one of Seattle's important community members. Scroll below for his guide to the city.

Chuminh Tofu

"Instead of ordering specific dishes, order buffet style so you can eat as much as you want. The ladies who run the place are super sweet and keep pushing food on you, sometimes giving you extra to take home"

San Fernando's Roasted Chicken

"Some of the tastiest food in Seattle. Get the ceviche, plantains, yuca fries, roasted chicken, inca kola. Put the green sauce on everything, it's addicting"

Fat's Chicken and Waffles

"Amazing southern kitchen locally owned in the Central District (Seattle's historic black neighborhood). I don't eat a ton of shrimp so they let me sub in catfish instead. They have a drink with gin and grape koolaid. Every Tuesday evening they host a local DJ to provide some additional vibes"

Henry's Taiwan

"Order the hand-shaved noodles, wontons in chilli sauce and basil chicken. Afterwards there is a cafe and a boba spot right next door"

Honey Court Seafood Restaurant

"Amazing for late-night eats and can accommodate big groups. Famous for the honey walnut prawns and salt & pepper squid. I usually order the singapore fried noodles, ma-po tofu, and chinese broccoli"

Hue Ky Mi Gia

"My favorite chicken wings in the city. Great for parties and catering"

Mioposto Pizzeria

"Really low-key (but busy) pizza spot in a residential neighborhood. My favorite veggie pizza in town. Order the Zucca Balsamica & the Le Patate Con Tartufo."

Stone Way Cafe

"One of the best breakfast burrito's I've had. The atmosphere inside the quintessential PNW vibe. Wood interior, exposed beams and interesting quirky characters."

Dough Zone™ Dumpling House

"Very tasty and affordable dim-sum. Lots of classics like xiao long bao (soup dumplings), dan dan noodles and green onion pancake. Try the beef pancake roll and the sweet & sour cucumber"

Hood Famous Cafe + Bar

"Locally owned Filipino Cafe & Bar. Famous for their ube cheesecake. Try the longanisa quiche and the ube macchiato"
