Mirissa, Sri Lanka

"When the tide is in, the ocean meets the jungle and all the raised bars sit above the water so you feel so far away from real life! Not to mention, the sunsets are stunning."

@bonnieophelia

Miami Beach, Florida

"Miami Beach might not be the top of peoples' list but I think it's the entire trip itself, rather than just the beach, that I'd like to go back to. The day I was leaving, the section of the beach outside the hotel had a sandbar, so I swam the short distance to that and relaxed in the warm, shallow water. I felt grateful and I felt freedom. I can still remember the clear blue colour and the temperature of the water on my skin. I also watched a lightning storm crashing way out to sea from the peace of my balcony."

@ashleighkane

Essaouira, Morocco

"Honestly, I chose Essaouira as I've never been there and I want to discover it with my partner, who knows it really well. It looks gorgeous like Brittany in France with all its dramatic rocks."

@emmaben77

Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda

"I love all the beaches there because of how many there are... I think there's over 365 which is mad when you think about it... one for each day of the year!"

@zoemallettcoaching

Krabi Island, Thailand

"I grew up in HK and we'd often spend the holidays in Thailand so, of course, I have very fond memories of the beaches there that I dream about going back to someday. Some of my favorite are nearby Krabi island in southern Thailand. Koh Poda and Koh Hong are definitely memorable favourites and accessible by boat. The water is so crazy crystal blue that you can snorkel in with all the little fishes coming right by you."

@sheridantelford_

Playa Coral, Oaxaca

"Playa Coral is one of the quieter beaches in Puerto Escondido, so perfect if you're looking to avoid others. Take supplies for the day as there is literally nothing there."

Spiaggia di Simius, Sardinia

"Considered the Caribbean of Europe - this place is insane! There's this sandbar with the sea on one side then a lake on the other where there are loads of flamingoes hanging out. The sand is literally like talcum powder and I remember this was the first place I could fully see my feet in the water, as that's not usual in Venice, where I'm from..."

@ariannaderossi

Diani Beach, Kenya

"There's never a dull day here. You can find starfish everywhere and camels strolling along the softest sand. Check out Ali Barbour's stunning cave restaurant for an unreal dinner!"
