One by John Edmonds
This exhibition unites Edmonds’ work in Black and white from several bodies of work made between 2016–2022. In Edmonds’ work, photography’s relationship to truth is repeatedly questioned. Describing his images as ‘quasi-documents’, the artist works almost obsessively with a number of models. These figures and friends – who become close to muses – hold, caress, and measure themselves against African sculptures in a search for subjectivity that is humanising, vulnerable and tender.
Dates: on until Saturday 4 May
Price: Free
Location: Maximillian William Gallery

Munch of the Week
Bao Borough
“This place is not known only for its fried chicken but I’m giving a shout out to Bao down in Borough Market... It’s full of spice, full of flavour. Bao is 100% on their game and their fried chicken is next level. It’s sitting in-between two pillows of aerated bao bun with this spicy mayonnaise, hot sauce, kimchi, coriander and the chicken was so juicy and nice. You can get a plate of chicken there as well. The restaurant is like an old-school restaurant you find in Chinatown in New York." - James Cochran
This spot was recommended in James' guide to the best fried chicken in London.
Location: Borough Market
