Emma dj performs live after the release of his latest LP g0drm2. With contributions from lil rhiz0me, Yves Ciroc, Rainy Miller, CXOXC, shyweek among others, the album fuses hybrid forms of rap with nostalgic atmospheres, trap sensibilities and a smoked-out sound. Supported by London-based DJ and musician LC.

Event: Z*F*E*X | Sci-fi Jazz Directions
Presented by Church of Sound and headed up by drummer Ziggy Zeitgeist, a staple of the Australian music scene, most prominently touring and recording with Melbourne Nu-Soul/ future-jazz collective ‘30/70’. Ziggy’s music is the meeting point of improvisation and dance music.

Exhibition: BUFFALO: Future Generation by Jamie Morgan
This exhibition presents an ongoing and inclusive photographic project that revisits the disruptive and radical Buffalo style movement that was born in 1980s Ladbroke Grove. The series is a celebration of British youth, representing its diverse identity today.

Exhibition: Dear Earth: Art and Hope in a Time of Crisis
Dear Earth: Art and Hope in a Time of Crisis is inspired by artist Otobong Nkanga’s suggestion that ‘caring is a form of resistance’.
The exhibition highlights the ways in which artists are helping to reframe and deepen our psychological and spiritual responses to the climate crisis, hoping to inspire joy and empathy as well as promoting a sense of political and social activism.

Exhibition: Battle Royale II: Pantheon of Champions
Following his 2019 solo exhibition in Ghana Battle Royale I: Last Man Standing, the show features a new body of work from his recent residency with the gallery in Accra. Battle Royale marks the culmination of over 20 years of research by Donkor into colonialism, slavery, intercontinental trade relationships and the socio-historical relations between Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.

Event: Moki Cherry: Here and Now
Improviser and percussionist Kahil El’Zabar conducts a large ensemble of musicians committed to the art of collaborative improvisation. A rare opportunity to experience El’Zabar’s improvised conduction, in an event he describes will be ‘MOKI (Music / Opening / Kinetic / Improvisations) Magic music’.
The ensemble will include a selection of next generation improvisers from the UK, Mexico and USA.

Exhibition: Milk @ Welcome Collection
‘Milk’ explores our relationship with milk and its place in politics, society and culture. It considers how milk has come to be seen as so central to perceptions of nutrition and “good health” in the UK. The choices we make about milk are personal. But it is also a highly politicised liquid that has been used to exert power as well as provide care.
