Photographer Kwabena Sekyi Appiah-Nti chronicles Bianca Saunders' heritage in the intimate photo journal 38 Love Lane.

Bianca Saunders is a British fashion designer and creative director whose work is tied to her Jamaican heritage: "This zine is about storytelling beyond clothing," she wrote on her Instagram. "Whether through photography, interviews, or collaborations, I want you to see the depth of thought behind everything we create."

Named after a street in downtown Kingston, the zine was made in collaboration with Amsterdam-based photographer Kwabena Sekyi Appiah-nti, who mixes portraiture and landscape photography alongside family archival shots and fashion editorials.

Each image reflects Saunders' philosophy on the duality of home—as well as serving as a love letter to the Caribbean country: its clothes, culture, people and landscape. Her designs capture fragments of history alongside contemporary island life.

“From reimagining the elegance of 1940s resort wear to channelling the pulse of Jamaican nightlife, her collections are both deeply personal and universally resonant," writes fashion journalist Jordan Anderson in the introductory notes. "This ethos comes to life in 38 Love Lane, a zine that bridges time and geography to tell a story of family, identity, and cultural pride.”

“Jamaica is a place of contrasts, where life moves between high energy and stillness, community and solitude. In every part of Jamaica, I found a balance, a rhythm that felt deeply connected.” - Kwabena Sekyi Appiah-nti
