Your definitive map to Frieze Week is here. Find off-Frieze events in independent galleries, a selection of the best afterparties and the spots to find your people in a world that can feel exclusive and cut off.

Today marks the start of the most important week in the London arts calendar: Frieze Week. Over the next seven days, the city lights up with stimulating cultural exhibitions by some of the finest generational talents, in small fringe venues to club spaces.

Building on the ethos of our NHC Carnival map, our curated Frieze Week map aims to make this week feel more palatable and accessible to diverse and different people.

London’s art scene is world-class, and it’s a place we believe our community firmly belongs. Art doesn’t live in tents. It lives in basement galleries, shopfronts, community centres and streets. It lives in our city and belongs to all of us, regardless of wallet size.

FAQs

I have the map link, but it’s not opening in my Google Maps app. What should I do?

Make sure you have the Google Maps app installed. When you click on the link, a pop-up that says ‘open in an external browser’ should open (if not, you can find it when you navigate to the three dots at the top of the window). Click to open Google Maps in the app. If the link still opens within the Instagram app, try copying it manually and pasting it into a Chrome browser. From there, the Google Maps app should open properly.

What does each icon mean?

The map has four main pillars:

Events & Exhibitions — rectangular frame symbol

Fairs – tent symbol

Food & Drink – cutlery symbol

Nightlife – cocktail and musical note symbol

I’m only interested in a few of the categories, not all of them. Can I select which ones I want to see?

Yes. Click on the ‘Legend’ section of the map to toggle categories on or off.

When I open Google Maps, I see all my existing saved spots in London. Can I only see the Frieze Map?

Unfortunately, we are limited to what Google Maps allows. You can either sign out of the Google account that has your existing saved spaces, switch accounts, or use the map via a browser for a cleaner experience.

Can I save the map anywhere?

Keep the map link handy. If you close Google Maps, the Frieze Week map won’t automatically appear next time—you’ll need to click the link again to reopen it.
