We're excited to announce there’ll be a Trippin stage at Ortigia Sound System Festival this summer.

This year, Ortigia Sound System Festival is set to make its return to Ortygia island, in Sicily, on 26-30 July. The event was featured on the inaugural Trippin 50 calendar, chosen for how it preserves local, Sicilian culture and marries it with innovation by creating a hub for experimental and cutting-edge electronic music. As it's a festival we've been championing this year, we've decided to team up with the event to host a Trippin stage. You can catch us at the daytime stage Lido OSS for the weekend, from 28 to 30 July.

Located on the idyllic Syracusan coast, Lido OSS is an area of breathtaking natural beauty: from its crystalline waters to cliff formations. There, alongside a stage for music is an area with sunbeds, loungers and parasols; a space for zen and restoration, as well as taking in the sights of Syracuse's historical centre.

For the 2023 edition, we're playing host to a range of selectors from local and global scenes at Lido OSS. Our very own co-founder Blenk will be spinning some tunes, alongside NTS regular Zakia and TraTraTrax's latest signee 3Phaz.

Venetian community Metabolismo Lagunare will be heading up the decks, as will the creative studio Acquatonica and independent label BS Radio.

Festival-goers can expect to experience 70s Italian and European disco from Disco Segreta too, in addition to the sound of Italian cinema from CAM, analogue selections from Love Vinyl's Ece Duzgit and funk-based tracks from Body Heat. Malamore Soundsystem has been confirmed, alongside the likes of Marco Buscema, Alessio Male, Sara Mood and Hangarella. Bluemarina, co-founder of the women-focused Sicilian collective Fluidae, will be playing, and there'll be a back-to-back between selectors Biuz and Splendore.

Across the rest of the festival, artists in residence Valentina Magaletti and Nídia will be performing together, as will Nick León with Bitter Babe and Eris Drew with Octo Octa. UNIIQU3, Arushi Jain, Toumba, DJ Danifox and more have been confirmed for the programme.

Ortigia Sound System takes place in Syracuse on 26-30 July 2023. Head to the festival's website for tickets and more information.
