Sunju Hargun on Where to Unwind in Bangkok

The Southeast Asian electronic underground is home to a rich, colourful scene.

Local selector Sunju Hargun draws from his Thai and Bangkok identity for his artistry, along with his Indian and Japanese roots. With over 15 years of experience working within the underground scene, he's been featured in clubs like De School, and played at festivals such as Horst in Brussels, Organik in Taipei, and Japan's Paramount. Alongside his DJing career, he's the co-founder of Karma Klique – a group of friends in Bangkok who are at the helm of events such as Karma Kastle – and Siamese Twins Records.

As someone who's local to the area and has a deep understanding of what Bangkok has to offer, in this guide Harjun shares his recommendations on how to ring in the new year in a more laidback, low-key manner. Not in the mood to party? Hargun's selections range from green escapes to listening bars.
