DJ Fuckoff Gets Us Locked In and Tranced Out In Berlin During Home Again
If there’s one place in the world to fuck off to and do your own thing unapologetically, it’s Berlin.
DJ Fuckoff quite literally did that, leaving her home in New Zealand to fuck everything and carve out her own destiny as an electronic provocateur in the hedonistic German capital. Rocking up to the city with nothing but a rucksack, she inserted herself into the heart of the city’s nocturnal underbelly, building a name with her unapologetic mash-up of trance, hardcore and breakbeat tunes, laced with sexually-brash verses. With tracks like 'my pu$$y’ and albums like Fucktopia, DJ Fuckoff aims to find joy in the unrestrained and literally not give a fuck what people think of her.
Berlin proved to be the perfect playground for Fuckoff’s restless imagination. Ahead of her set this Friday at RSO.BERLIN’s joyous open-rave Home Again, she’s prepped a guide on her favourite spots in Berlin—where visitors too can enjoy the city without judgment, whether ripping into an intense Mario Kart showdown or trancing out in the club.
If you're in the city, check out Fuckoff's favourite spots below.
Salamat
“One of my favourite cosiest eat spots in Berlin serving up the tastiest Middle Eastern cuisine. With a super varied menu you can get next level Falafel/Halloumi & Shawarma plates plus yummy soups accompanied with a Salamat special cocktail or juice. The vibes are always mega chill, the staff make you feel at home and the lighting is PERFECT. Lighting is always key! :) My go to is the Darband Plate which comes with chicken shawarma, tabbouleh, hummus, mutabal, falafel, halloumi, bulgur and potatoes. Every dish also comes with fresh flat bread & sesame yoghurt sauce. Don’t sleep on the desserts too when you go! ”

“Having one of the best wine selections and high quality sounds this has always been one of my favourite summer time spots—paired with a classic cheese board. As well as a bar it is also a mini record store, with a dedicated vinyl corner in the hallway you can have a dig and listen to some stellar electronic selections. The indoor seating is cosy with low light and also has a full deck setup for live sessions that happen throughout the week & weekend. One of my favourite things about this place is they have tiny chairs to sit on outside with tiny tables haha, a proper cute Berlin street style spot. ”

“Hidden next to the iconic Tresor is Berlin club gem, OHM. Showcasing all genres and hosting legendary DJs this is one of my fav places to dance and drink the best Pornstar Martini I ever had. The space is cosy with just over a 200-person capacity but has a powerful deep sound system that gets you tranced out and locked in. If you wanna chill too the room is lined with benches so you can sit down while still enjoying the music. A definite go-to when in the city especially for bass music. ”

“If you wanna get out of the super crowded Spree River spots this place is perfect. With the cutest dogs ever, ping pong tables and a basketball court you can really dip into whatever mood you feeling. I love sitting on the edge of the water watching boats go past and doing some people watching in the sun haha. With a short walk you can venture into Tiergarten which is like a mini forest also with hella ping pong tables and mega chill places to watch the clouds go by. Get you some beers or Capri-Sun then you set! ”
More InfoGamestate
“Apart from ping pong I love gaming and going hard on Mario Kart. Being one of Berlin's only arcades, Gamestate is cute, fun & hella wholesome. They got your classic snacks & refreshments (also cocktails :p) which you can enjoy whilst playing Dance Dance Revolution or irl Hungry Hungry Hippos. I can spend hours here but in the weekends it’s buuusssyyyy so best to go during the week when you can make sure to try out every game and get those tickeeeeeets. My fav prize I won there was a slappy hand lol.”
