Designed by David Lynch and helmed by the collective Assembly Group, Silencio Paris first opened in 2011 and quickly garnered a following as a hotspot for creatives from around the globe. More than just a restaurant, the venue is a creative hub, housing a cinema alongside a gallery space, library, bar, black room and stage. 

Silencio curated programmes to reflect France's cultural zeitgeist, collaborating with artists, institutions and fairs around the world. Aside from Silencio, Assembly Group own a range of other celebrated venues, including Olympe, Edo, Wanderlust and FVTVR.

First collaborating with El Silencio in 2021, world-renowned chef Guillaume Sanchez, has since curated menus that combined "client experience, culture and art". As a chef who surrounds himself with culinary figures that embody the age and cuisine of France, Guillaume has established a respectable reputation in the French dining scene.

Julien Jabre

Julien Jabre is an artist and producer born and raised in Paris whose music is largely associated with the 90s French Touch movement. Over the span of his 20-year career, he has taken influence from his Lebanese heritage and various international genres of music to inform his sound which has become strongly tied to the House genre and its cultural history. Julien explained to us, Paris is a "magnificent city with all the cultural events and beautiful monuments... when we talk about moving out for a quieter place by the sea, we always think 'but all these great restaurants we would leave behind…'" Read below to see his most treasured spots to eat in Paris.

Two of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Paris. I love the atmosphere at both places and everything is delicious. Their sobas are very tasty but delicate. Best tonkatsu sandwich at lunch on Saturdays at Abri.

The Japanese chef Takao Inazawa revisits classics from worldwide with a subtle touch of his own. His couscous is one of the best i’ve ever had. The co-owner, Benoit, will take care of your thirst with super pleasing confidential wines of his findings.

No reservations so be there early! Beautiful atmosphere to enjoy the best seafood brought to another level by Bertrand Grébaud from Septime. Share many tapas along with well picked white wines or saké.

Fantastic selection of wines for all kinds of budgets. Ask for Laure or Pierre-Marie to guide you and they will make you discover beautiful bottles. If you are looking for a delicious but affordable Champagne taste the Charles Hubert Blanc de Blanc.

A Lebanese institution where I feel at home. I have never had falafel this delicious outside of Lebanon and they are by far my no. 1 in Paris. Their kebbe labanieh (meatballs in hot yogurt) is amongst the best I’ve tasted. And a little karabije for dessert!

The historical boutique feels like time-traveling as it's the oldest chocolaterie in Paris. It’s very dangerous for my leaver to go there. All their chocolate bites are fabulous as well as their homemade black sesame ice cream, marzipan, chocolate nut spread…

Look out for the big lantern. I’m a big ramen eater and it’s my no. 1 broth in town. The miso ramen is the one to take at lunch, the shoyu at night (because it’s "lighter").

One of my canteens where super friendly Alexia and Flo cook tasty homemade veggie and not veggie meals. Also their bun sandwiches are incredibly tasty and fluffy, the "jambon Prince de Paris with comté" is my favourite. 

A take away ony for the best chicken with garlic shawarma or veggie shawarma. Their houmous and baba ghanouj are ones of my favourite in town.

After a good ramen in Saint Anne’s area, go to Telescope for a great espresso shot. And even if you’re stuffed, have a cookie…
