Eastern India's Kolkata is known for its intellectual air, where the streets hum with collaborative chatter and energy. It's the perfect setting for Bios Contrast—aka Kolkata-born Nilotpal Das—to experiment with his musical vision and hone his penchant for left-field, forward-thinking music.

Bios Contrast is a project that combines storytelling and experimentalism, driven by curiosity. His city shapes his sound; by combining the sonic pieces, physical objects and real events, he creates a auditory representation of his surroundings through music.

Below he shares his top spots in the city that has been so instrumental to his craft.
