The low crime rate, liberal values and welcoming locals make Barbados a great solo travel destination for both women and men. The island’s small size offers a true sense of community that extends to travellers making it not only easy to navigate but easy to meet new people. People are super friendly and eager to help foreigners. It’s important to practise due diligence when travelling alone to any country; avoid empty beaches after sunset and steer clear of remote roads late at night.

The newly introduced welcome stamp makes it a great option for digital nomads looking for a year-long adventure.
