Waking Life
Set in Crato, Portugal, Waking Life is an intimate rave that unfolds across six days in the warmth of the desert sun.
Taking place during the summer solstice, ravers are treated to long hours of sunlight and a serene setting surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
Roots of Minimal were involved in the curation during the early days of the festival. Hosted by Associação Waking Life, artistic experimentation is prioritised across the lineup of each edition. Its next chapter is set to feature a slew of regulars on the festival circuit – Ben UFO, Mala – alongside the likes of experimental project Voice Actor, Kenyan rapper Nah Eeto and benju maestro Ustad Noor Bakhsh. We’re taking notes.
