Exploring Bangkok With Jewellery Designer O Thongthai

O Thongthai for Trippin
O Thongthai

O Thongthai creates bespoke jewellery inspired by her native Thailand. "Thailand is the heart of gemstones," with Bangkok being one of the leading markets for gems. Worn by celebrities like A$AP Rocky and MIA, O's designs champion Thai culture and history, regularly visiting landmarks such as the Emerald Buddha temple for inspiration.

O Thongthai highlights her favourite spots in Bangkok to eat out authentically, find the best books and collect bespoke homeware that you are unable to find anywhere else in the world. From hot and spicy yellow curry to mangosteen juice, O's suggestions display the unique flavours of Thailand's cuisine.

If there's one thing you have to try when you're in the city though, O says, is "Pad Krapow rice topped with fried egg."

Central: The Original Store

I love their book selection and gallery space. Moreover, I love the food at Aksorn by chef David Thompson on the top floor.
