Travelling alone is possible for both men and women. Precautions should be taken to ensure safety; plan a wholesome program to fill your days. Local friends facilitate travelling because they serve as both guides and pseudo-shields to verbally abusive men and unfair vendors. Locals are friendly but beware, Morocco is a country that relies on the tourism sector so people are conditioned to rip tourists off and overprice their offerings. Check out Backstage, La Cigale, Niya, People’s Choice Records, and Vertigo to meet new people as a solo traveller.
