My favorite after hours venue. On weekends they have top tier after party line-up from 6-9AM. I love that the dj booth is visible from any angle. The dj booth is in the middle of the dance floor, and there’s a screen in the floor behind the bar that shows different angles of the dj mixing. 


The staff here is like family and are super supportive of the underground music scene. Also, they LOVE to party as well. It’s a narrow dance floor but the high ceilings and good sound system make me feel like i’m in a huge venue.

Futuristic vibe high-end art bar ran by Nanzuka contemporary art gallery. I love the interior design by Sorayama!! Sorayama’s futuristic robot art integrated into the furniture and decoration, alongside creative cocktails. 

A hidden fairy tale-themed bar and cafe. They have magical, potion brewery decor with hanging fairies and fairy dust. I love the unique cocktails with the touch of cotton candy. It feels like an immersive escape into a mythical world!

This bar makes cocktails based on the theme movies. They have a cocktail recipe for almost every movie I can think of and it's always spot on. Perfect place for a chill girls night out or date. The first time I went there I ordered my favorite movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".

Record/Music bar/cafe. Pink neon lights and good vibe. A lot of artists tend to link up here.

Jazzhole is one of my favorite corners of Lagos. I can spend hours there, flipping through vinyls, sipping tea, surrounded by books and old sounds. It’s one of those rare places that still holds the soul of the city. You can find the best of the best Nigerian music classics in vinyls here. 

No matter where I travel, nothing beats the taste of home. Akanke Alamala is my spot for amala, gbegiri, and ewedu, hot and fresh. It reminds me of simpler times. They have 2 spots, I usually go to the one in Lekki and my favourite thing about this spot is that they also have traditional singers and drummers who go around to every table to perform for you. Apart from the food, the music here is A1. 

This place means a lot to me because it keeps our culture alive. Every visit feels like stepping into a living story, the language, the art, the drums, the spirit. It’s a space everyone needs to visit to learn about Yoruba history and culture when they visit Lagos. 

This is my family palace, my great great great ancestor King Kosoko was the King of Lagos in the 1800’s. The palace houses the Kosoko Memorial Museum and walking through it always feels powerful. It’s a reminder of my heritage, the resilience that I carry, and how much strength and legacy lives in my family history. This is my favourite place for inspiration and to gather my thoughts. 

After a long hard week, this is where I dance, unwind, and just have a great time with my guys. The music is always great, the crowd has style, and it’s just great vibes in Boho. Might be my favourite club in Lagos and my friend Fresh L runs the best nights there.

The New World School of the Arts booth will showcase a variety of artworks, including individual pieces, collaborative projects, and limited editions like prints and artist books, all created by NWSA students, faculty, and alumni. These works will be available for purchase, with a revenue-sharing model that allocates half of the proceeds to the artists and the other half to support NWSA’s visual arts program. This initiative supported by Miami art education and collecting program, Commissioner, is aimed at enriching the experience of fair goers while promoting community involvement.

The exhibition Changes: Reflections on Time & Space draws from founder Anthony Spinello’s personal art collection. The exhibition stages a dialogue between seminal works collected over the past two decades and new or recent works by the same artists—many of whom share deep ties to Miami. This constellation of artworks maps not only Spinello’s own trajectory, but also a chapter in the city’s evolving cultural landscape, reflecting the intertwined histories of place, practice, and community. Here, time is both a subject and a medium. The works span years, even decades, and carry with them the histories of their making—the social, political, and personal contexts that shaped them. Changes: Reflections on Time & Space is more than an exhibition—it is a time capsule, a love letter, and a testament to two decades of belief, growth, and transformation.

MOCA is showing Field of Dreams by Diana Eusebio, a Peruvian-Dominican textile artist based in Miami, which takes the viewer on a historical journey. Eusebio creates a variation of vibrant colours found in the natural world throughout the Americas and the Caribbean, with a palette that incorporates seven dyes: avocados and cochineal (cochinilla) for red and pinks; annatto (bija), Spanish moss (itla-okla), and marigolds for yellows and oranges; Palo de Campeche (logwood) for purple; and indigo for blue. These seven core dyes are central to her practice, connecting her work to centuries-old dyeing traditions, from harvesting to boiling the plants and immersing the fabric within the dyes.

This exhibition transforms the gallery into an ethnobotanical garden of art, filled with suspended Spanish moss and soft muhly grass, family portraits communicatively representing layered memories. Visitors are invited to move through this living environment that celebrates heritage, community, and the enduring bond between people and the natural world.

Suns and Shadows is curated by Miami artist Roscoè B Thické III which features Miami artists Mark Delmont , Reginald O’Neal, Lance Minto Strouse, T. Eliott Mansa, and Mark Fleuridor. This exhibition explores Miami’s contradictions, capturing the tension between its vibrant allure and the complexities beneath—displacement, resilience, and preservation.

Through various mediums, this group of artists illuminate the layered histories of Miami, highlighting the distinct edges of its potential as a city continually shaped by forces of change.

NSU is showing 'The Riddle of the Sphinx and Other Mysteries' - The Greek Sphinx was a creature who posed riddles, most famously in Sophocles’ 5th century BCE tragedy Oedipus Rex, where solving a puzzle became a matter of life and death. In this way, the Sphinx became a symbol of games, mystery, and interpretation.

Like the Sphinx, this exhibition invites viewers to engage with art as a series of puzzles to be decoded, and to apply their experiences to form their own interpretations. Works are drawn primarily from the museum’s collection and grouped by themes including Myth and Ritual, Hybrid Creatures, Abstraction, Figuration, and the Americas.

It includes works by Ed Clark, Frida Kahlo, Jeff Koons, Lee Miller, Diego Rivera, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, and recent acquisitions including vanessa german, Lonnie Holley, Emilio Martinez, and Cici McMonigle.

Prizm is one of my favorite art fairs to visit during Miami Art Week. For their 12th Edition, Prizm will present The Architecture of Liberation examining the profound role of visual art, architecture, and spatial aesthetics in the context of political resistance and social justice. From the 1970s onward, Africa and its diaspora have engaged in a series of liberation movements that redefine the relationship between built environments and the quest for freedom, autonomy, and equality. This exhibition delves into how spaces—both physical and symbolic—have been constructed, reclaimed, and reimagined to serve as catalysts for liberation, resistance, and solidarity.

Curated by DVCAI Founder, Curator Rosie Gordon-Wallace, based in Miami, and independent curator Breeana Thorne, the trans-coastal, transcontinental, and Caribbean diasporic project poses the question, “What’s in Your Container?” The shipping container - a vessel of movement, transportation, and memory -serves as a lens through which we explore the personal and collective histories of containment.

The works on view serve as sites of refuge - both physical and emotional. In response, artists, turn inward, using their creative practice as containers for memory, grief, harmony, and regeneration. Students and visitors are invited to consider their own vessels of memory.

I exhibited at Carlos Ishikawa during Condo 2024, Vanessa is the best in the game in my opinion - not just what she did with Oscar and Issy, but how she has an almost family dynamic with her artists. 

Camden Arts Centre has hosted my performances and I’ll be showing a Film I TRUST PAIN October 30th along side unreleased material from Genesis P-Orridge & Rainy Miller - I love working with Matt Williams there, he was the first in any institution to give me a chance and understand the full scope of my practice, which I’m eternally grateful for.

Emalin remains my other favourite space, again because of their programming and dedication to what they do. I feel they will be around for a very long time. 

Being my local gallery - I’ve been a fan from day one. I actually wanted to show there but it took me a while to realise that’s not ever gonna happen (lol). They recently showed my dear friend Allen-Golder Carpenter and continue to do great shows.  

I will be performing as Quiet Husband at M.O.T on 14 November, another special spot with an amazing underground feel very unique to London. 

Fold is probably the best club in the world atm for obvious reasons - feels like we need to cherish it while it’s here and in its prime. These things don’t come around so often. 

Honourable mention to Cabinet Gallery - such an amazing roster and space. I guess in an ideal world that’s where I’d like to end up.

Mame Diarra is a Senegalese restaurant in the heart of Noailles. If you are with a group of friends, looking for a cool spot to eat before a long night, this is the spot. Amazing food, generous portions, big tables and a huge screen constantly playing the latest West African music videos from YouTube. 

Whereas most natural wine bars tend to be interchangeable products of cultural homogenisation, La Passerelle seems to care little about the new standards of the hip bourgeoisie. Started over twenty years ago by a group of friends, La Passerelle looks more like a literary café at the crossroads of Mediterranean cultures, where musicians, artists and pretty anyone come for a good chat (and a lot of wine). 

If a diner and a PMU (French sport bar) blended together, this is what it could look like; casual and welcoming, good fun but nonetheless a super cool spot to eat, drink, mingle and unwind. Meghan, the Scottish owner, will serve you her simple yet delicious take on Mediterranean cuisine, unless you’re here to play pool in the backroom while drinking demies and pastis.

This must be my more mature, simple yet elegant, to go to spot. The one that allows you to wear your favourite pair of white trousers. La caravelle is a lowkey cocktail bar established above some restaurants of le vieux port. They have jazz bands and musicians playing every week, very decent drinks and a cool balcony with a great view.. but what I like the most is the laid back, hushed yet vibrant atmosphere that does feel like being on a 16th-century wooden boat.

Many hyper-controlled venues have been cosplaying as rave lately. Metaphore is what a real DIY space looks and feels like. Started almost ten year ago, this semi-legal warehouse hidden in the middle of an industrial area offers multiple spaces to dance, chill and socialise. The dark room is properly lightproof, equipped with a well balanced function one system that allows night long dancing away from the outer world. This is a place for experienced and respectful partygoers where you will meet the local underground community as much as people from around the world. Saturday nights are usually club nights, open to a wide range of sounds. Sundays are dedicated to live music, from more acoustic and melodic to more experimental and electronic performances.

L’arraché is the Marseillaise equivalent of a Chicago jazz bar during the prohibition. When raving or clubbing feels a little too much, going to l’arraché can be a great option. This underground bar, associatif. nearby la plaine hasn’t changed much over the past thirty years. Low ceiling, big smoke, crackling bi-bop tapes selected by one of the two sixty year old Corsican owners while the other one is handing you your bottle of beer, some people dancing, some playing chess, and literally everyone smoking. As some Time Out journalists would say - this is a ‘unique experience’, just make sure to shower before bed.
